Altess is a hybrid font in terms of style. The vertical stems have gentle, almost imperceptible curves that finish in a “half-serif”. The characters are rounded at the corners and some have classic serifs. Altess is, in other words, a serif font that looks like a sans-serif.
The name Altess may refer to altitude or to someone or something being in, or having, an elevated position or status.
Try pairing Altess with Placidia Display for style and effect, or another geometric sans-serif font for a more simplistic contrast.
