Based stylistically on the original Burdigala font, the Burdigala X fonts are slightly wider and more open. Leaning towards the classical traditions, they are ideal for body text, but also for headings and for titling.

While the X Semi-Serif is intended for print, it works equally well on-screen, especially in headings or texts at medium and large sizes, in Pdf documents, on websites and in apps.

Try paring Burdigala X with Placidia Sans or Placidia Display for contrast and effect.

Burdigala is the ancient Roman name of the city of Bordeaux.

Why Semi-Serif?

A semi-serif font represents the best of two worlds. You get the simplicity of a sans-serif combined with hints of elegance and sophistication from the serifs. Stylistically speaking, this gives you an advantage in that you can use it in place of both the sans and the serif, or simply in combination with either of the two.
