Starting Five
We start by counting the unique letters of the name or word you wish to create a font for.
Example:
The word “majica” consists of 6 letters, 5 of which are unique. In order to type "majica, Majica or MAJICA” on a keyboard, we have to design both the 5 lowercase and the 5 uppercase letters.*
5+5 letters 2,500 €
Additional 1+1 letters 100 €/set*
Price on request if you need for more than 10 letters.
Rates from 2,000 € for a fixed layout, e.g. only uppecase, or if you need less then 5 letters.
Full Keyboard Set
We can expand the "Starting Five" set and create all the characters for your language (keyboard), about 100 in total. English is default language,

The price of 3,000 € is based on "Starting Five", otherwise from 5,500 €. Reduced rate if you have purchased "Starting Five"and additional letters.
A slanted (italic) version can be created for an additional cost of 100 € for all weights.

Multi-Lingual Pack*
Based on «Full Keyboard Set» for your language we can now go all the way and make a complete multi-lingual font set covering most European languages, about 380 characters all in all.
(Greek and Cyrillic are not included).

Making a Font
What is the purpose of the font?
Where would you like to use it?
Who is it for?
These are important questions that need to be considered before we embark on the design of the font and the characters.
Style and Impact
The style of a letter and a font may be basic and geometric, thin or heavy, or it may have conservative, classic serifs or other embellishing elements that make up the style of the font. Each convey a certain message.
A tech-company, a lawyer and a bakery can of course use the same font for their “logo-name” and profile.
But in order for the name to have a real impact and personality that says “this is us”, you would want something that is tailored to your unique vision.
Readability
For a font that needs to stand out, as part of a product or for the name of your company, readability is not really an issue.
If, on the other hand, you wish to use the font in documents, for general texts, headings and titles, both in print and on the web, then the font must be easy to read, at various sizes.
This may also mean that the design of the font must be simplified, to some degree at least, so that you may use it where you want.
50% of the total amount will be invoiced when the first font design has been approved the client. The rest upon completion. Payment in Euros.
COPYRIGHT
Upon completion, the full ownership of a font including relevant copyright info embedded in the font-file(s) will be transferred to the client.
Please note that we reserve the right to withhold a part of a font set and/or the transferring of copyrights, until any and all payment(s) is settled in full.
Any issue related to a font must be reported within 30 days after the completion date, i.e. the date of issue of the final invoice.
Minor issues such as tweaking the space between individual characters (kerning) may be needed, and this is normal in the beginning. Kerning and spacing issuses will be accumulated, and then ajusted, within a 90-day period after completion.
Other issues will be dealt with as soon as possible and within 90 days after completion.
Changes to the design of the font is not included.

OTHER INFO
Unless otherwise explicitly expressed by the client, FONTPLAN may use the font or characters as part of our own publicity on the website, in print and in social media.
