IMAGE LICENSING
Commercial Standard License (CSL)
With a Commercial Standard License you may use the asset for as long as you like in all media, digital and print, such as on website and in social media, in books and brochures, in software, on broadcast programs and in films.
The asset must, however, be a part of a whole, and not make up the main subject of a book or magazine etc, and it must only be used within the organisation that purchased the license, and only by its employees.
You may not create merchandise or products for resale or distribution, such as posters, t-shirts, web-templates and so on, where the main subject and value of the item is directly related to, or is in any way derived from, the asset itself.
You may not distribute and/or resell the stand-alone file, nor may you transfer the license to any third party or client.
Commercial Extended License (CEL)
In addition to the terms of use granted by the Standard License, you may also create unlimited numbers of merchandise or products for resale or distribution, such as t-shirts, posters, web-templates and book covers – but only as long as the asset is a part of a whole.
For example; a postcard, poster or template must include other design elements, e.g. promotional text or other photos and/or graphics. Or on a mug or t-shirt. Simply printing an asset and selling paper copies of it is not allowed.
You may not distribute and/or resell the stand-alone file, nor may you transfer the license to any third party or client.
Please contact us if you wish to use an asset beyond the scope of this license.
Editorial License (EDL)
An asset labeled “Editorial Usage Only” may only be used in a context which is of general public interest, such as in online or printed newspaper or magazine articles, news blogs and so on.
You may not use it any way commercial such as in sales promotion or advertisement, nor out of context or to directly endorse any subject matter whatsoever.
You may not modify the asset other than minor resizing, cropping and technical adjustment, e.g. brightness, and only to the extent that the overall asset content and main subject remain fully intact, relative to the original asset.
You may not distribute and/or resell the stand-alone file, nor may you transfer the license to any third party or client.
Credit line
All editorial usages must include the credit line in the IPTC credit line field of the file or as indicated on the asset web page.
